mSecure 6.1 is here
mSecure 6.1 is our first major release since our move to mSecure 6, and we could not be more excited to share it with you! Our developers have worked very hard to bring you several new additions to the mSecure toolkit for a more enhanced experience in managing your sensitive data. Some of our favorites include:

Family Plans
With the new Family Subscription plan, you can include your family members under one monthly or yearly subscription. Each member will be able to have their own database where they can still create and store their personal information individually, with the ability to share mSecure records with these other users. Each family member receives a Premium plan, allowing access to all features mSecure has to offer! The owner of the Family Subscription plan is able to add up to 4 additional users to their family, with the ability to add more at a cost.
Team Plans
The Team subscription provides access to mSecure for you and your colleagues all under one plan, allowing you to store sensitive information securely within your own databases, or share information with other team members. Add your employees to your plan with ease, with the ability to add or remove users on a monthly basis. Keep your sensitive business information safe within your workspace using shared vaults. Each Team plan also comes with a separate Family Plan for the Admin of the Team Plan for them to use personally! Team plans start with 10 users, with the ability to add additional users at a cost.
We also want to accommodate the flexible needs of your business, so you can add or remove team members every month. Keep in mind that a Team subscription can only be purchased from our website: www.msecure.com/plans.
Two-Factor Authentication
With an added layer of security, you can now use Two-Factor Authentication as a step to enter your mSecure account! Enabling this feature requires you to enter a one-time code when signing into mSecure to ensure you are an authorized user of that account. You can choose from several methods to receive your secure code – via email, via an authenticator app, or via text message. You can even enable multiple options to be used so you can select from different delivery methods to receive your code when signing in, or only use one method of delivery each time you sign in to your mSecure account.
Login Password History
Are you changing your password but do not want to repeat what you have used previously? Rediscover which passwords you have previously used for your logins within each record. You can now see the history of your password changes to find out if you have been re-using a password or if you want to know what you have used as a password before. Each password field keeps its own history, and each password change is time-stamped in your record so you’ll know the exact date and time when your password was changed! After updating to 6.1, you will see your password changes going forward, no changes will be shown from before. As always, this is securely encrypted within your account.
Attach Any Type of File
As you know, your mSecure database is a safe and encrypted space for you to store sensitive data. Now, you can attach any type of file to your mSecure records, allowing you to keep sensitive files organized and protected in your mSecure account. If you have a file you would like to keep private, simply attach it to one of your records, and it will be protected with the same encryption as the rest of the information. When you need access to the file’s contents, you can either open the attachment directly in mSecure (if reading that file type is supported) or export the file to view in an external application of your choice! To view an attachment, simply click its icon in the record’s details. mSecure decrypts the file then opens it in its own window so you can read its contents.
Our next release will include Windows Browser Plugins, HaveIBeenPwned Integration to warn you of potentially compromised credentials, and Scam Advisor to warn you of potential scam sites. Want to know what we have planned for the future of mSecure? Check out our roadmap of upcoming features here.
